Ethan Calof

I am an enterprising young journalist living in Ottawa , Ontario , Canada . I have already been accepted to arguably the second-best journalism school in Canada , so I know that I will have a tool that will help improve my berating skills.

Born in Ottawa and raised in England, there weren't very many local sports teams for me to root for... and the one local team that I do have really never appealed to me. I am a Detroit Red Wings fan because they were the only NHL team I had heard of in England , and because I had family in Detroit . The Minnesota Vikings were due to the family in Detroit moving back to Minneapolis , and my love of the UNC Tar Heels is entire due to a family alumnus who threatened to beat me up as a young child if I rooted for Duke.

I also developed a passive love of soccer thanks to my time in England . Don't call me an expert, but I'd rather watch a meaningless soccer game over a meaningless baseball game, easily.
