As always our full compliment of Pictures can be found HERE

Sadly, We got a little late to the show, so for the first 3 fights we missed, we apologize.

Now since most of the feedback I got was positive on my RR50 experiment- I will continue the My thoughts segment. To the fighters please understand I respect what you do and this is simply an observation to help you down the road. Feel free to email me and let me know if you want to talk about it- and if it really upsets you- remember I'm the skinny guy with the camera- NOT the fat guy with glasses.

DANIEL HERNANDEZ (ARKANSAS MMA ,CABOT AR) Def TRENT BENTLEY (TEAM ASSASSIN, HOT SPRINGS AR) due to injury R1

GARY WILSON (WOLFPACK MMA, BEEBE AR) Def JESSE GIBSON (TEAM PUNISHER, HOT SPRINGS AR)

KEVIN LEWIS (TEXAKANA JIU JITSU, TEXARKANA TX) Def GUIDO JOSEPH (BUSHIBAN MMA,  HOUSTON TX)  via Tapout 1:36 R3

We Arrived right at the end of fight 3.

TYLER WARD   JOHN DARNELL
210 / Debut  Wt /Record 201/ 1-0
TEAM PUNISHER Team SPA CITY MMA
LITTLE ROCK AR Fighting out of  HOT SPRINGS AR

R1 Ward is just moving here- John is more or less just standing in the middle of the cage and waiting for an opening. Ward is circling and circling. Occasionally Ward would almost take too wide a step, but John fails to take advantage. Ward finally slows enough and John attacks- Ward gets some good offense of his own but a left pushes his back and a follow up by John almost is a push down more than a knockdown. Ward tries for a gul but nothing there. John shoves over to mount, then lays down some good ground and pound. Ward turtles and the ref steps in!

Winner: John Darnell via TKO 2:17 R1

My Thoughts

Ward: you have GOT to slow down, you are running circles around there- but unless you are going in and out as well as side to side you are just burning energy. I don't know if its first time jitters but SLOW it down- open mouth breathing a minute in is NOT good.

Darnell: Very good finishing there, picked his spots a little overcautiously, but didn't take any unnecessary risks and was rewarded with a solid win.

JACKIE OWEN   LEO CURRY
159 / Debut Wt /Record 167 / Debut
BUSHIBAN MMA Team WOLFPACK MMA
HOUSTON TX Fighting out of  BEEBE AR

Good bit of movement here by both men- Owen does catch Curry with a right cross and staggers him- he grabs a leg almost to save himself but recovers quickly, Owens tries for a gul, but nothing there- lets is go and just starts dropping leather and getting quite a few clean shots in- Curry throws up a leg and is able to pull Owen down, short scramble and Curry is able to take Owens back! He sinks in a choke and Owens is forced to tap!

My Thoughts

Curry- Showed a TON of heart there, and fast recovery, but TUCK YOUR CHIN.

Owens- Only thing really to point out here is he seemed to think he was one or two punches away from a stoppage. Curry absorbed the shots and was able to mount a comeback.

Winner: Leo Curry via RNC 2:32 R1

DAMON MILLER   JAMES MCGEE
177 / Debut Wt /Record 185 / 1-0
DRAGON'S DEN Team TEXAKANA JIU JITSU
DERIDDER LA Fighting out of  TEXARKANA TX
James shoots in, Damon makes him pay for it, but James is able to push him up against the cage. Damon with some short punches and good dirty boxing, while James is working some good knees to the thigh of Damon. Damon actually looks like he is bleeding on his thigh- right where the knee of James is hitting- but a reversal shows that James is busted open. There is just blood spilling all over the mat- All over Roy Lang and the other side of the ring- My Laptop busted- and I had to borrow the wife's- I'd like to thank them for not bleeding on my side of the cage- very courteous of them. 10-9 Miller Feel free to drop by the pics on Drew Facebook for some of the carnage.

R2 Much longer feeling out process here- McGee seems to have a pretty nasty cut over his eye. Miller has a pretty good gash on his forehead- but nothing bad as its not going toward his eyes. McGee pushes to the cage and Miller drops down - Miller is him in a Gul choke- doesn't look deep but he has him in there for a LONG time McGee finally pops out and is able to get into mount- lays in some GOOD Damage here. 10-9 Miller

R3 Clinch to a takedown and Miller gets a mount! I have him behind but he has a MAJOR opportunity to take this fight! McGee does avoid a good bit of the damage and is about to move out for brief periods of time but this round is all Miller. he might have saved a draw to some, But I'm only going 10-9.

Winner: James McGee via Split Decision
29-28/29-28/28-29

My Thoughts Excellent fight here. If you like blood- these two gave it to you. They laid it all out there for you.

James: Kick off the fence next time- major issues getting away from the cage, also don't sit in a submission- a crappy ref might stop the fight- I've seen it happen.

Miller: LISTEN TO YOUR CORNER! For 3 rounds they were giving GREAT advice- heck Munz was yelling at you things to do- and I don't think you ever took the instructions.

Excellent effort there gentlemen. Would love to see a rematch in a year to see how much you both grow as a fighter.

BRANDON PELT   JOHNNY "5-0" MCFALL
210 / Debut  Wt /Record 223 / Debut
S. WEST LA JIU JITSU Team WOLFPACK MMA
LEESVILLE LA Fighting out of  BEEBE AR

GloveTouch, McFall with a HUGE double-leg takedown and just lets out a flurry of punches! Pelt turtles and taps!

Just an awesome performance for am the police officer. Pelt, just had no answer for that Blitz.

Winner: Johnny McFall via RNC :48 R1

My Thoughts:

Drive EXACTLY the speed limit going home.

BLAKE VONHEEDER   DANIEL WEBBER
157 / 2-4 Wt /Record 161 / 1-2
DRAGON'S DEN Team TEXAKANA JIU JITSU
DERIDDER LA Fighting out of  TEXARKANA TX

I have seen Blake twice so far-

R1  Good exchange on the feet, Both have good head movement- takedown and Blake is on his back- slight attmpts at a scramble but Daniel does a very good job of keeping him in the center of the cage. Blake is in survival mode here. RNC attempt does nothing as does an armbar. attempt.

R2 Blake pulls guard- short scramble and Daniel has his back. Good defense by Blake here, who almost pulls off an armbar at the end but time expires.

R3 Just total control after a takedown by Daniel, Blake spent a good 2 of the 3 minutes of this round defending a RNC, Daniel tried several ways to sink it in but Blake just survived the round.

Winner: Daniel Webster via UD (29-28,29-28,29-27)

My Thoughts

Daniel- there is NO reason to have anyone short of Nog in a RNC for that long and hear the bell. But that being said- great effort to put pressure on your opponent for 9 minutes.

Blake- I'll be honest, there has got to be something missing here, I have no idea what. He looks good, has good defense, good standup good everything, good corners, but there just seems like there is something missing- keeping him from greatness. Sorry Blake, not trying to be mean- but I'm being honest- Its like watching a QB overshoot a wideout by 5 yards when he's wide open in the endzone but nailing every other pass he throws.

Kristal would like you to comeback for part II
